I saw a question today that asked if double opt-in was really necessary for growing and managing your list.
In my view it’s a no-brainer: you weed out people who are not really serious about your offer, which keeps your list cleaner, and you’re protected in case someone screams ‘spam’, an important consideration since a successful spam prosecution against you could put you out of business.
