One thing I found, though, was that it started causing problems when I put up new posts. I don’t think it was the plugin itself – it was more likely the database that it hooks into at BTE, but it was creating PHP errors and causing time outs when I hit the ‘publish’ button.

So I removed it and everything returned to normal again.

I hope it continues to work smoothly for you, though! But if you do start finding your post publish times becoming really long or some PHP errors surfacing, this may be the culprit.

Many of the sites that are linking to me are relevant to my niche and were ones I was commenting on in some cases. The comments were no follow but the BTE links are follow.

The more relevant articles I right the more links I get. Makes sense to me. Much like a blog carnival is an even exchange of links.

Sure guest writing is a better way to get in front of the other blogs audience. If you are looking to drive traffic, guest post some of your best stuff.

The content of websites that you link back to is important – the more relevant it is to the content of your site the better.

To that end, this plugin does evaluate potential sites (blogs) in the related websites network and ensures that the content is as relevant as possible before posting the links at the bottom of your articles.
