Failure is Not The Falling Down, But The Staying Down
I grew up in Zimbabwe, but politics have destroyed what was a beautiful and thriving country, so today my home is Hong Kong.Like many, I lost big time in the dot com crash and I spent the next few years slaving away to re-build the savings and capital I had.
If there's one thing I've learned it's this: for me, true security comes from being in control of my own income.
Once my finances were back to something resembling solvency I resolved never to let myself get into that situation again. So I started looking for a business of my own that I could set up.
One thing became very clear: it didn't matter what industry I looked at they were all focused on moving as much of their activities as possible online.
It could not have been clearer: if I wanted a business that was as future-proofed as possible it would have to be Internet based.
So I started learning about Internet Marketing and working online, and was immediately flooded with emails, websites and ads that promised me untold riches for little or no work.
Naturally enough I followed through on a few, only to find that the claims they made for what I could earn, for what I did, and how quickly I would start making money, were grossly exaggerated!
Working online is a business and, like any business, it requires work, perseverance, patience and the willingness to learn new skills. Once I had that realisation fixed in my mind things began to turn around for me.
Working online is a lot of fun, but please don't be taken in by the wildly exaggerated claims made by so many who are selling Internet Marketing training.
