Make it your own – stamp your personality and brand on your business.
How do people become millionaires? By using leverage!
They can’t do it all themselves. They have a great idea, they develop it, implement it, and commercialise it. But to make the millions they have to use leverage.
Leverage takes any form: people who are interested in starting a franchise may want to leverage the brand name and marketing traction of the franchiser. Others may want to leverage production processes or back office systems.
Leverage means using something that’s working well to your advantage to give you a ‘leg up’.
So can you leverage leverage..?
Sure – by adding your own value.
There are two 7-Eleven stores very close to where I live. One’s looking a little tired and worn around the edges, and the staff are the same. The other’s shiny and bright, and the staff are happy to see me. No surprises which one I go to!
The previous post compared the Global Abundance Program to a franchise – the concept is the same.
The Global Abundance Program already has, and is gaining more, marketing traction. It has established systems and processes so that Business Owners don’t have to re-invent them.
It’s an online franchise, and all the benefits of leverage you get with a franchise you also get with the Global Abundance Program.
But to be really successful you need to add your own value. Make it your own.
Distinguish yourself from the rest. Do something different. Decide which parts of the overall G.A.P. system you want to use ‘as is’ and which parts you want to take control of yourself. Stamp your own personality on your business.
It’s a franchise where you can use everything that the Global Abundance Program provides and do nothing different, or where you can take control of (almost) everything and make it your own. The choice is yours!
Update 11 July, 2009:
Unfortunately for many people, the people who set up G.A.P. turned out to be highly unreliable. Their flagship product, Mortgage Acceleration PLUS Program was still not delivered by the time I terminated my association with G.A.P., nearly a year and a half after it was supposed to be ready.
So I seriously considered scrapping this entire post. But I didn’t because I do believe the message is valid.
Just steer clear of G.A.P.!

A lot of business are pffering themselves up for franchise regardless wether they are viable or not. So buyer beware! choose only the ones that give value for your money and not just there to collect your franchise fees.
Couldn’t agree more – and this particularly applies to the home business opportunities that you see everywhere online.
What real value does the product bring? Is this something I’d be proud to talk to my Dad about? Is it something I’d use myself? Is it easy to explain to someone for the first time? Is there a real market for it?
These are the types of questions you want clear answers to before you invest in a franchise, an MLM or an online direct sales opportunity.
Cheers,
Martin.
