I just read this short PDF report from Seth Godin on how to generate tons of organic traffic to your blog/website/squidoo lens. It’s free to download from Seth’s blog.
As with everything Seth writes, it’s short, succinct and direct. It will leave you in no doubt about what he believes you need to do to generate tons of traffic.
It’s easy to understand, but not easy to do. It takes work and thought. But that’s great, because that’s what contributes to continuous improvement.
I fall into the category that he mentions at the beginning: someone who puts up a page and then panics because no one comes to read it. So I bookmark it everywhere just in the hope that it will make the search engines notice.
Maybe I should just leave it for the search engines to find by themselves. That’s actually quite a scary thought. A bit like those team building exercises where you have to close your eyes and fall backwards, trusting your colleague to catch you.
