Free is free for a reason. I would never trust a free autoresponder program.

I use GetResponse and I it is the best IMO.

Hi SF Green Biz,

The 4 that I was thinking of are:

Aweber
GetResponse
ConstantContact
EmailAces

There are lots of others, though, and if you do a Google search you'll be inundated..!

But I would definitely recommend one of these 4.

Cheers,

Martin.

Interesting reading and makes perfect sense. Who wants to deal with compliance laws? So nice that you can outsource it and not pay an arm and a leg.

You mentioned the big 3 or 4 professional Autoresponder services, can you please be more specific about who they are?

Thanks

I have been using Aweber for about 8 months. I have never had a problem with it. It always works and people can automatically unsubscribe. They are very particular about not letting you import any names that you might have had on Constant Contact, by the way.

Having helped to create and run one of the first and at one time the world's largest autoresponder to the network marketing profession I have to agree 100%.

We helped to create the autoresponder industry in 1999 and went on to grow to over 10 million emails per day.

Now in todays market 10 million emails per day from any one email autoresponder is very small.

But what we helped to create as Best Practices is still used today by the likes of Constant Contact, AWeber, GetResponse and several other respectable autoresponders.

Personally I use Constant Contact because they have a full time compliance staff, are White Listed by all the top tier URLs, use only Best Practices and give the publisher great control over style and delivery.
