My belief is that you need your own business. Not only are the rewards so much greater when you’re working for yourself, but you have control.
That means that office politics and mismanagement of the business by others are no longer threats to your financial security. Because they become your responsibility!
But for many people who’ve spent a long time working for an employer, going self employed is a big step. And that’s assuming that you already know what business you want to set up.
Many people would love to set up their own business but struggle to find a business that they a) know enough about and b) would want to invest their time and money in. And without the answers to those two questions you don’t have a business.
