I’m a member of BlogCatalog – if you’re a blogger you should be too – and through BC I’ve found some excellent blogs on just about every (and any) subject you can think of.
One that I found this week is ‘What’s This Web Thing’.
Apart from now having a link to WTWT in my Useful Links section, I have no affiliation with them, so I get no credit in any way for mentioning them here. Just so you know.
However…
I did want to take this opportunity to point them out to you because, if you’re into Internet Marketing (which most who read this blog are), this is a goldmine of resources.
WTWT is written by 3 people, which is why their articles often use the term ‘we’ instead of ‘I’, something I normally hate but which, in this case, is totally correct.
What WTWT has done is to pull together all the resources you would need to get an Internet Marketing business off the ground. So there are hosting services, website builders, autoresponders, web templates, keyword tools and free ebooks on different marketing channels. And usually there 2, 3 or more of each.
They’ve then written reviews of each product and, particularly in the case of the hosting provider reviews, broken the service offerings down in some detail so you can see exactly what you get for the price.
This is great but, being terminally lazy, I would like to see a clearly recommended ‘best deal’ in each category, when more than one competing service is reviewed.
For example, there are 5 hosting providers reviewed, 4 of which are priced within a dollar of each other, offering apparently similar services. All the facts about each are there, so I can analyse them and make my own decision as to which I think is the best. But I’d still like to have seen their recommendation!
In addition to pulling together the basic services you need to get an Internet Marketing business going, there’s a Tips and Advice section, a Home Business section offering advice & guidance and introductions to a couple of different home business opportunities and, of course, blog posts on Internet Marketing/Home Business issues.
The site is a Wordpress blog using the Revolution theme. It looks good and the navigation is clear and complete – meaning it’s easy to find what you’re looking for!
An enormous amount of effort has gone into pulling this blog together. If you’re new to Internet Marketing (and even if you’ve been at it for a while) this is a great place to know about. If you’re looking for an IM product or service you’ll probably find it reviewed here. And it seems as though they have a forum planned as well – although it’s not yet live.
