I’ve written a couple of times before (here and here) on whether or not to pay attention to the ‘no follow’ attribute when making comments on blogs. And both of those posts link to excellent posts by Jack Humphrey on the subject.

But I thought I’d scout around the web and bring you some differing views. So here are 4 posts, all of which, to a greater or lesser extent, disagree with me.

If nothing else it will (hopefully) clarify the discussion for you. I’ve just activated the CommentLuv plugin on this blog, meaning that if you leave a comment the plugin will go to your blog, look for your latest post and put a link to it here. So leave us a comment with your views!

Does NoFollow Still Work?

Since the inception of the rel=”nofollow” attribute of the tag for hyperlinking, SEO has become easier because it became more controllable. As a web developer, we focused a lot of time to create Page Rank and because of that, …

What is NoFollow?

Learn what the NoFollow tag is and why bloggers should be interested in it.

I Said Goodbye to NoFollow Tag

Yesterday, NoFollow code was removed from my blog. My blog is now DoFollow and supports the so called U Comment I Follow movement.”What’s is that?”, you may ask. When you leave a comment on a Blogger blog, a “No Follow” tag is …

Glad to have another dofollow blog to visit!:-

Your blog is already doing so well so this would be more of a “thank you” to your readers, I guess.

Thanks for your kind comment about this blog…

But you really should ignore whether or not blogs are ‘no follow’. You’re losing out on visitors if you avoid them. Visit them and leave comments – it’s all good stuff!

Cheers,

Martin.
