One of the WordPress plugins I use and really like is WP-DBManager.
For some reason, though, when you activate it for the first time you will see a red warning across the top of all your WordPress admin screens that tells you your backup folder might be visible to the public.
This can be a bit worrying, but the fix is pretty easy.

How to fix ‘your backup folder might be visible to the public’
So here are the steps to get rid of that warning:
Step 1:
Using either your hosting provider’s file manager or your FTP client, navigate to your wp-content/plugins/wp-dbmanager
folder and look for a file named htaccess.txt
.
Important: some hosting provider file managers may hide this file, so if you’re not able to see it using your file manager you’ll need to use your FTP client instead.
Step 2:
Move the file from its current location to the wp-content/backup-db
folder. This is a new folder added to the wp-content
folder when you activate the plugin.
Step 3:
When the file is in the wp-content/backup-db
folder you will need to rename it from htaccess.txt
to .htaccess
(dot htaccess)
Be sure to save the changes (if necessary) and that’s it – you’re all done.
